Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of PAUL and JOANNE (nee TOLTON) CONNOLLY of Oakville, Ontario. Paul passed in his 94th year on November 20, 2025. Joanne was in her 90th year when she passed on February 5, 2026.

Their love and dedication to each other was evident throughout their 48 years of marriage. Paul, a mechanical engineer, travelled to 62 countries working for General Electric. Joanne would often join him for visits, and eventually ended her career in human resources with DuPont Canada to travel full time with her soulmate. They shared a zest for life. When not travelling, they spent weekends cruising in either their convertible Camaro, vintage Rolls Royce or beloved Harley Davidson. They were avid golfers. Joanne was proficient at the sport. Her love of golf started as a teenager while playing with her father in Guelph. Paul was a proficient storyteller with a remarkable sense of humour. They treasured their past 20 winters living and golfing in St. Augustine, FL. They are dearly missed by many beloved friends at home and abroad.

They are survived by Paul's sons John and Stuart (Lynne). Dearly loved uncle and aunt to Roy and Carole and great-uncle and great-aunt to Laura (Chris) and Kathryn (James).

A heartfelt thank you to Diane Wolder (cherished friend) and Paula LaPorta (beloved cousin) for their care and support of Paul and Joanne. Thank you to the staff at Sunrise of Oakville and Palliative Care at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.

As per their wishes, cremation has taken place and no visitation or services will be held. For those who wish, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
