It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Thrasher on February 8, 2011 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Patricia will be dearly missed by her devoted husband and best friend Tom, her loving children Linda (Gary), Karen (Steve), Susan (John) and Paul (Ashleigh). She will be forever Nana to her grandson Carter and 2 grandchildren to be born this year. She will remain in the hearts of her beloved sister Diane (Scott) and her aunt Lois (Robert). She is predeceased by her parents Henri-René and Patricia Giroux (nee Brennan). Patricia will be forever remembered by family and friends for her ever sunny disposition, endless patience and loving devotion to her family. Patricia's visitation will be held at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (905-844-2600) on Thursday February 10, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Mary Mother of God Roman Catholic Church, 2745 North Ridge Trail, Oakville on Friday February 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with a celebratory reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ian Anderson House or The Gerry & Nancy Pencer Brain Trust. Patricia's family extends their sincere thanks to the staff and volunteers at Ian Anderson House for their care and compassion.
