We are saddened to announce that Patricia Catherine Ross, at age 97, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 7, 2023 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Pat, an only child, was born on February 7, 1926, to parents Lillian and James, in the town of Thunder Bay, and Port Hope, Ontario, where she spent her childhood. When she completed school in her town, she went on to attend a secretarial school.

Life brought her to London, Ontario, where she met the love of her life, Carlysle Ross. Carl and Pat fell in love and decided to get married. Once married, they moved to Oakville, Ontario, and began raising two children of their own. Pat began working at Procor, Ltd and earned her way up to a position working for the VP of the company. She was a hardworking employee who dedicated over 20 years of life, and was very well-liked.

Pat and Carl enjoyed travelling the world together, visiting countries such as Egypt, New Zealand, Scotland, and Newfoundland. They spent almost 50 years together, until Carl passed. She was a committed volunteer at the Oakville Seniors Citizens Home for almost 25 years, and was involved in other weekly social activities such as hosting euchre nights, participating in her ceramics group, and attending church. During retirement, Pat dedicated her time to caring for her granddaughter Chantelle for over 20 years, with whom she had a very special relationship. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and was a very social lady.

Pat's incredibly kind, caring, empathic, and optimistic character was visible through every action she took, every word she spoke, and every relationship she had. She always looked on the bright side, and had an incredible sense of humour, even in her very last days. She was generous, humble, selfless and full of love, of which she will always be remembered by.  She was always perfectly "done up", dressed in purple (her favourite colour), with her perm in place and her nails painted.

Patricia will be lovingly remembered by sons Jay (Flora) and Michael (Nancy); grandchildren Chantelle, and Keaton; and her husbands family, the Stewart's. Memorial Visitation will take place Friday May 12, 2023 at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W (one block east of Kerr St.) Oakville from 2pm - 4pm and then again from 7pm - 9pm. The Ross family would like to extend our thanks to the staff at OTMH for their effort and care for our sweet Patricia. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's society of Canada or the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
