Obituary

Pat, Patsy to her family, died peacefully at home on February 5,2024, surrounded by family. Just weeks before her 97th birthday.

Born February 28, 1927, Pat was the first child of Cecilia and Ed Ryan of Montreal, and big sister to her much loved brother Billy (William Joseph) who died in battle in Korea.

Frank O. Price (deceased) and Pat enjoyed a long and happy married life of 65 years.  They loved to dance, travel and entertain. Their house was always the centre of a great party. The annual New Year's Day Levy was a much anticipated welcome to the new year.

Pat and Frank had five children. Pat was predeceased by her son, Ted (Julia). She is survived by her daughters Cindy, Debbie (Jeff), Trish (Randy) and Dee Dee (John). They have four grandchildren, Liam (Sue), Courtney (Brian), Michael (Stephanie), Katelyn and two great-grandchildren, Claire and Paige. All of whom will deeply miss Mimi. Family was Pat's greatest priority. Pat asked us to always love each other - we do and always will. Pat's example of love and devotion for her family was her greatest gift to us.

Pat attended the Mother House in Montreal and, after a short career at the Royal Bank, met and married Frank. Frank's career brought them to Ontario where they lived in Toronto, Kitchener, Thornhill, Barrie and finally Oakville in 1962. Pat volunteered with the Women's Auxiliary at OTMH, Brownies and Guides, and The May Court Club of Oakville (past president). She was an active member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church, a founding member of the Christmas House Tour, and a long time member of the Oakville Golf Club. A passionate collector of antiques, Pat attended Sheridan College and completed her Certification in Interior Design. She then opened her own successful decorating business. Pat was an avid sought-after bridge partner and played well into her 97th year. Throughout her life Pat met and cherished many friends.

When Frank passed away, Pat moved to Amica, Bronte Harbour. Her favourite activities and new friends surrounded her. Pat had a wonderful sense of humour, maintained a positive attitude and always saw the bright side of life.

Pat received exceptional care and attention throughout her eight years at Amica. We thank all the staff, and Delio, for their loving care.Pat will be truly missed by all who knew her.  A celebration of Pat's life will take place at St. Andrew Catholic Church at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
