Passed away peacefully at the age of 96, on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Orlando will be missed by his devoted wife of 67 years, Maria, his daughters Joanne (Harold Vogt) and Matilda (Claudio Giovacchini), and his son Dino (Deborah Colarossi). He was a proud Nonno and was beloved by his grandchildren Mark, Paul, Daniel, Simone, Leslie, Pier Paolo, Corey, Deanna, Selena, Rachel, and Natalie. He was also a loving Bisnonno (great-grandfather) to Mats and Valerie.

Born in Carpineto Della Nora, Italy, he arrived in Canada in 1963. He and Maria raised their family in Windsor, Ontario where he worked at Ford Motor Company and met many lifelong friends. After retirement, they moved to Oakville, Ontario to be close to their children and grandchildren, and spent winters in Italy tending to his family home. Orlando 'Egi' was known as a curious, hard-working, and generous family man. Full of humour and heart, he often could be found caring for his olive trees, enjoying time outdoors, or with friends at the Italian club.

A private funeral service will be held at Mary Mother of God Catholic Church on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oakville Hospital Foundation.
