Norma Cecilia Pinet

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Norma Cecilia Pinet (Ortiz) on Friday, February 14th 2025.  Norma is a very loved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and dear friend to many.  Norma is survived by her husband Yvon, daughter Maria, son in law Patrick, Grand children Mikaela and Jack and many family members, including her 10 siblings who love her dearly.

Norma was born in Cuenca, Ecuador and immigrated to Canada in November 1976 with her Mother and a few of her Siblings. She was a hard-working, determined dreamer that built an amazing life for her and her family in Canada. In retirement, she loved her long walks, yoga sessions, Pilate workouts and spending time with her friends and family.

Her love for life and experiences brought her all over the world.  Her passion for friends and family was unapologetic and she made everyone she met feel better about themselves. Norma was the number one cheerleader for the ones she loved. She is a light in this world that will not be extinguished. That light will love forever. She will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts and minds.

Visitation will take place Thursday February 20, 2025 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville. Funeral Mass at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Friday February 21, 2025 11:00 am.
