IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Norma Audrey
Lennox
October 15, 1923 – January 11, 2024
NORMA AUDREY LENNOX
Norma Audrey Lennox (Patchett) passed away peacefully in Oakville, ON. January 11, 2024. Norma was born to Ida Minerva Adamson and Norman Patchett in Port Credit on October 15, 1923. Norma was pre-deceased by her husband, W. Earl Lennox, with whom she had a long and happy life for sixty-two years.
Norma is survived by her three children; Judith (Paul), Kathryn (Ian) and Ian (Barbara); nine grandchildren – Lori, Debra, Brad, Jesse, Dan, Ryan, Craig, Derek, and Blake as well as nineteen greatgrandchildren and an incredibly special grand dog (Wrigley). She will be missed by her VBF (very best friend).
Norma lived a wonderful life and enjoyed her family and friends who celebrated her 100th birthday last October. Norma grew up with her mother's parents (Charles and Mary Jane Adamson) and shared many childhood stories including riding her bicycle with her two sisters to her grandparent's farm (crossing the current QEW), tobogganing at Missisaugua Golf and CC and evening horse drawn sleigh rides on her grandfather's farm along Adamson (now Burnhamthorpe) Road. After WWII she and Earl moved to Fort William and started their family. They re-located to Earl's birthplace of Newton Robinson before settling in Oakville in 1962. Norma devoted her life to her family, friends, and her church.
Mom was aware and knowledgeable until the end of her life. Always giving a big smile when anyone came to see her. She received nurturing, supportive, and exceptional attention throughout the last weeks of her life. We thank the staff of Amica, Bronte Harbour, Chantelle, her beautiful morning CCAC PSW and the Acclaim Palliative care team who provided so much support.
A celebration of Norma's life will take place at Church of the Epiphany in Oakville, 141 Bronte Road, Oakville on Tuesday, January 16 at 1100am followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that you consider making a donation to the Kerr Street Mission
