With saddened hearts the family announces the passing of Nora Kappler, on Wed Mar 5, 2025 at McGarrell Place LTC in London On. Beloved wife of Clarence (deceased), dear mother of Jane St-Laurent (Pierre), Scott (deceased) and Joanne Balfour (Rob). Dear sister of the late Audrey Connor. Cherished grandma of Cameron (Stephanie) and Andrew (Sarah) and great-grandma of Lachlan. Nora will be greatly missed by her nephew Calvin Connor and devoted niece, Colleen Vali and their families.

As a keen community volunteer Nora belonged to the Historical Society in Port Hope and Oakville. She was a lifelong member of the United Church and active in the WI. Music was a constant part of her life as she played the piano and organ and supported the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Oakville Symphony. Perhaps her favourite night out was dinner at a jazz club. Nora will be remembered for her caring attitude, kindness towards others and her gentle manner.

A memorial service will be held at Kopriva Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd W, Oakville on Sat Apr 5 at 2 pm. Preceded by visitation at 1 pm. Interment will take place at a later date at Canton Cemetery near Port Hope. Flowers appreciated or donations to a charity of choice.
