Neal Joseph Harrington

January 26, 1936 – November 25, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Neal Harrington announce his peaceful passing in his 89th year in Orillia, Ontario.

Neal is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Patricia of 65 years. Loved father to his children Anne (predeceased), Michael (Gail), and Karen. Cherished Grandpa to Blair, Nichole (Ian), Lindsay (Kyle) and Justin (Lindsey).  Beloved Great Grandpa to Evalyn and Cole.  Neal will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Neal had a long and distinguished career starting in the Royal Canadian Navy at the tender age of 18 and concluding in the telecommunications industry where he served with integrity for many years. Above all, Neal's most treasured and joyful moments in life were spent with his family.  When their health had permitted, he and Pat loved to travel, spending time in Europe, the South Pacific and Southeast Asia.  Neal was also an avid wood carver, who very much enjoyed the comradery of his fellow carvers.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Leacock Retirement Lodge for their exceptional care and kindness.

A memorial visitation for Neal will be held on Saturday November 30th from 2 -4 pm at the Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street).
