With great sadness we announce that Nancy has lost her courageous fight with Leukemia and passed away on Thursday November 10, 2011. During her last few very difficult months at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, she was the recipient of an outpouring of love from family and friends, both here in the Toronto area and from the US. It was important to her that all of her friends and family as well as all the caring nurses at OTMH, in Oakville be thanked for their many kindnesses and endless expressions of love. Nancy leaves behind her husband Peter, her children Brian and Jennifer; son and daughter in law, Kyle Macgregor and Jennifer Turcotte. Loved grandmother of Kate, Natalie and Lachlan. She will also be deeply missed by her brothers Allan and Gerry and their families. A Service to Celebrate Nancy's Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday November 21, 2011 in the chapel of the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville. In lieu of flowers, Nancy's wish was for memorial contributions to Canadian Blood Services, 1800 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, ON K1G 4J5 in her name. She felt a deep debt of gratitude for all of the Blood and Platelet donations that she was the beneficiary of, and which extended her life.
