Mona passed away on January 31 at home in Oakville. Predeceased by her lifelong friend and loving husband of 62 years, Roy, and beloved daughter, Gill (Andy) Hajer. Survived and much loved by her older brother, Donald, and her children, Carol Hayles, Michael (Conni)
Sugden; son-in-law David Hayles; grandchildren, Crystal Lowes and Rachel Garcia; Spencer (Catherine), Shannon and Caitlin Hayles; Garrett and Austin Sugden, Hannah (Eric) Honeycutt, and Carter (Alison) Sugden; and great grandchildren Cyara Lowes, and Malaki, Dante and Milani Garcia.

Born and raised in Yorkshire, England, Mona met Roy at 5 years old, they soon became "a pair" (to quote mum) after reconnecting at work, married in 1957, and moved to Canada with their 3 children in 1974. True partners in life, Mona and Roy quickly made many new
friends and enjoyed entertaining, golfing, traveling, and spending time with their family. They were always appreciative of their good fortune and were generous in sharing it with others.

Mona was witty to the end, always willing to do silly things (she was known for pulling funny faces and telling stories), feisty and strong willed, welcoming, and caring, always looking to help those in need.

Many thanks to those who helped care for mum over the last few years, including the team at Amica and Best Care Agency. The family thanks everyone for their support and condolences and will be gathering to celebrate Mona's life privately.
