On Wednesday evening June 22nd, 2011 Miriam Angus age 95 died with her family by her side. Miriam follows her three sisters Elizabeth, Mary and twin Ruth, her children John (Little Johnny) and Virginia (Ginny) and her late husbands Carl and John. She leaves behind her children Debbie and Chris Green (Christina); her four grandchildren, Sam, Will, Andrew and Matthew; as well as her stepchildren Bruce, Gord, Robert, Susan, James and Duncan Angus and their families. Miriam was a special aunt to her niece Joan Kennedy and nephew Peter Metcalfe. Miriam will be missed by all but remembered as a strong, caring and vital spirit. A funeral service will take place at Kensington Gardens Chapel (25 Brunswick Ave. Toronto) on Thursday June 30th at 10:30 am. Those who wish to make donations please do so to the Kensington Health Centre, where Miriam spent the last four years of her life (www.tkhc.org/fundraising.htm). The donations will never compensate for the care and compassion the Kensington staff showed Miriam, but it's a start. Those who knew Miriam remember her for many accomplishments, one of them being her skill at bridge and solitaire. Miriam played computer solitaire up till the day she died. Chris finished the last game left on the computer for her; she won.
