Obituary

Milos Braco Sumonja passed away on April 9, 2021 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital after a short, but brave fight, against cancer. Beloved husband of the late Mirjana née Mijakovac. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his son Ilija and daughter-in-law Andrea; his daughter Gordana, son-in-law Mark and grandchildren Vojislav and Velimir; and his community of family and friends living both near and far across the world. Milos – a loving father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend - always greeted you with a smile, welcoming words, and infectious laughter. His adventurous and generous spirit will be sadly missed.

Visitation (by online reservation - see above) will take place at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2:00 pm - 4:00pm and 7:30 pm to 9:00pm Friday, April 16, 2021. Funeral Mass (for immediate family only due to Covid restrictions) will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at St. Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church in Oakville. Interment (open to a limited number of extended family and friends following social distancing protocols) to follow at approximately 12:00pm at St. Volodymyr Cemetery in Oakville. In order to adhere to Covid restrictions, we ask that people remain in their vehicles at the cemetery until the funeral procession arrives.
