It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Milka Podnar on March 8, 2019 at Post Inn Village.
Cherished wife of her devoted husband Josip Podnar. They shared a life like no other for 60 years. A bond that will never be broken.
Loving mother to Rose Horvat (Joe) and Anne Gustin. Adored grandmother to Jasmina, Katarina and Nicole Gustin and Michael, Tania and Josh Horvat. Dear mother in law of Vilim Gustin.  Beloved sister of Ankica, Marija, Ivan and predeceased by parents Jela and Ivan Zivkovic brothers Mile, Nikola and Jure and sister Kaja.

Born in Lohovska Brda in Croatia,  Milka came to Canada in 1970 with her husband and two daughters. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  A hard working woman who loved spending time with her precious grandchildren and creating beautiful memories with them all, she will live in their hearts forever and will be deeply missed.

Heartfelt thanks to the loving and caring staff at Post Inn Village. A sensational group of people who have embraced us with kindness unconditionally, and treated us like family throughout Milka's stay. We love and appreciate you all.  Special thanks to Dr. Petra Tzougras for her care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be given to the Holy Trinity Parish in Oakville.

Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville on Monday March 11, 2019 from 5-9 pm.  Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday March 12, 2019 at Holy Trinity Croatian Catholic Church, 2110 Trafalgar Road, Oakville at 10 am.  Interment will be held at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery.
