With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our daughter Michelle, aged 47, on October 19, 2026, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Born in Bathurst, New Brunswick, she grew up in Ontario. She is survived by her parents, Hubert and Dianne Kelly; her sister, Erin; and her son, Riley Onion. Being Riley’s mom was her proudest accomplishment. Watching movies, playing board and card games, and doing jigsaw puzzles with him meant the world to her.

Michelle was diagnosed with mitochondrial disease, an incurable illness, seventeen years ago. The disease gradually weakened her body and reduced her mobility until she needed a wheelchair. During the last year and a half of her life, she lived at Stirling Heights in Cambridge, Ontario, where special, caring staff looked after her.

A private Celebration of Life will be held with friends and family at a later date.
