Michael, a kind and gentle man, passed away peacefully at 1:55 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Ian Anderson House after a short battle with cancer at the age of 81 years. Born on March 15, 1935 to Percy Arthur and Ethel May Terry in Gillingham, Kent, England. Predeceased by his first wife Pat Terry (nee Longton) of 27 years and his sister Carole Robson (Ian). Much loved and missed by his partner Joan Owen (nee Wright) of 18 years, her daughters Andrea Teixeira (Steve) and Elizabeth Masson (Trevor). A very special and adored "Grandpa" to Lauren and Danielle Teixeira, and "Poppa" to Paige and Owen Masson. Remembered with love by his siblings Anne Terry and Paul Terry (Linda) in England. The family will receive friends at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home at 64 Lakeshore Road West in Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the chapel of the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home at 12 noon and a reception afterwards.
