Michael passed away peacefully on May 1, 2016 at Northridge Long Term Care Centre, Oakville at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Jean for over 33 years. Predeceased by Helen Tufford. Cherished dad of Brian (Nancy), Bruce (Mariline), and Diane Graydon Kane, and step-father to the Terry kids, Stephen (Wendy, predeceased), Brian (Susan), Lori, and Wayne (Cindy). Much loved Grandpa to Candice, Ashley, Mitch, Christine, Bradley, Brodie, Brandon, Kylana, Carson, Abbey, and Zack. Dear brother of the late Alwyne Marsh of Duncan, B.C., and survived by cousins and relatives across Canada. Michael served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 3 years and was a proud WWII Veteran. A talented artist with a passion for creativity, he was the great-grandson of Canadian Painter Paul Kane. Michael was an avid gardener, loved his family and many friends, and always made you smile with his spontaneous charm. Special thanks to all of the staff at Northridge for their kind and compassionate care. A celebration of life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street, Oakville, on May 11, 2016 at 11 a.m., reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society, or Knox Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
