Peacefully at Post Inn Village, Oakville, on Saturday, May 2, 2009, in her 82nd year after a courageous battle with ALS. Cherished mother of Sedef Ozkin and Semin Cagin-Zaimler; devoted mother-in-law of Engin Ozkin; treasured grandmother of Senem Ozkin, Sena Zaimler-Dissmeyer (and Nate Dissmeyer) and Sima Zaimler. Survived by her husband of 55 years, Mahmut Fahrettin Cagin. She loved life and lived every moment to its fullest. Talented at everything she touched, she was an inspiration to everyone around her. She was a true matriarch until the end, smiling through the pain and being strong for her family. You led us by the example of your extraordinary life and we will forever follow in your path. A memorial service will be held at at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) on Thursday, May 7, between 4 and 6 p.m. If desired, donations in her name to the ALS society of Ontario would be appreciated.
