May, 6, 2015 was a beautiful spring day. Mervyn woke up and announced "today would be the day". He refused the hospital as he was ready to go to Heaven. Mervyn passed away peacefully in my arms at home. Remember his strength, his laughter, his integrity and his stubbornness. It all made Merv the man we have been blessed to have in our lives while he was with us. Mervyn was proud to be a Godfather and was blessed to have so many righteous brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and two beautiful great-great nieces. He had many aunts and uncles to look up to and the love of his dear parents. Mervyn became a step-Dad late in life and a proud family man who held dear the love of his wife. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. He is missed by many and loved by all. God Bless you Mervyn. I love you forever and a day. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday, May 10, 2015. Funeral service will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Chapel on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11am. Immediately following the service the interment will take place at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery.
