IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maureen Ann
Barlow
December 22, 1954 – January 27, 2026
Maureen Anne Barlow (née Rivers)
Born December 22, 1954 in Oakville, Ontario - passed January 27th,2026 in Dundas, Ontario
Maureen’s vision of ultimate freedom and peace was being able to fly with the birds.
On January 27th, after 5 years of living with end stage kidney failure, defying all medical odds and showing everyone how strong and tenacious she was, Maureen gained her wings. She was surrounded by loved ones and the caring staff at St Joesph’s Villa in her final days, and had her daughter and sister Catherine by her side in her final moment.
Maureen leaves behind her greatest treasures in life; her two children Chanel and Thorne Barlow, along with her many other loved ones. Maureen loved dogs, art, sunshine, dancing freely, building meaningful connections with people, and going out for “a breath of fresh air”.
She will be remembered for her beauty, her strength, perseverance and determination to live life her way. She was a unique character with a kind heart and ability to support others in times in need, despite her own challenges. Paired with feisty personality and dark sense of humour that brought so much laughter to those around her.
While Maureen is no longer with us earth side, she will live on in our hearts, in rays of sunshine and in the sights and songs of birds flying freely the way she always dreamed of.
Celebration of life will be at a later date – information to follow.
