Mato Veber, 70, of Oakville, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Mato was a beloved husband, father, and proud grandfather whose strength and love for his family will be deeply missed. He is survived by his beloved wife, Zora Veber; his son, Zarko Veber and daughter-in-law, Victoria Barbaric; and his daughter, Sanja Elieff and son-in-law, Kyle Elieff.

He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Stefan, Nicholas, and Leila, who brought him immense happiness.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 21, 2026 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 11 am until 12 noon.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 12 noon.  Following the service, a ceremony will take place at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery. Family and friends are then invited to a reception at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre to gather in remembrance of Mato’s life.
