Obituary

We invite you to remember the beauty, strength and love that Marylin Ann Healey (née: Morton) brought to all who knew her. Marylin was born August 28th, 1953, in Toronto, Ontario to adoring parents Ann (Reilly) and Gordon Morton (deceased February 7th, 1994).

She was the eldest sister to four brothers, Michael, Kevin (Shirley-Ann), John (Dawn) and Peter (Deborah). Marylin cultivated a life rich in conversation with her family and close friends. Marylin listened; she actually listened . Finding the joy in every interaction, Marylin was a steadfast daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Marylin met Gerald Patrick Healey (deceased April 18th, 2022) and instantly swept him off his feet. They were married November 22nd, 1975. Gerald and Marylin danced, bonded over British television and enjoyed deep conversation for 46 years. Their love saw the birth of three children: John Patrick (Kristina), Erin Ann (Keith Corkum) and Devon Kathryn (Nate Bitton). Marylin profoundly enjoyed her children and being a mother. She was their confidant with whom they could laugh, cry and dream. To Marylin's delight, her family grew to welcome six grandchildren: Kathryn, Kara, Liam, Patrick, Sean and Adelaide.

Marylin had a genuine love for being with people; appreciating and highlighting each person's uniqueness – for Marylin, you were someone special. Marylin was a caring, lively, glamorous and mighty soul. In person conversation with Marylin ended on June 1st, 2025; her gentle ear and wise words continue to be felt and heard among all who knew her.
