POTHIER, Mary Nora

– age 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27th in Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. Born March 31st, 1932 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia she was a daughter of the late George Albert and Mary Bertha (Surette) Harrington. One of the most pleasant and happiest people, Mary loved her family and cared deeply about the well-being of others. She was a truly outstanding mother and grandmother, and was beloved by all. She was a bright light and beacon of kindness. Mary was also adventurous — open to trying new foods and visiting new places. She was an avid 'old school' gamer — doing daily crossword puzzles, jumbles and word searches (and watching her favourite TV shows and admiring her plants). She lived in her own home up until a week before passing and deeply appreciated the support from her care providers. She is survived by her and Lawrence's children, Susan (John) Wells and Glenn (Patricia) Pothier and grandchildren: Zachary and Jenna. Mary was predeceased by her husband Lawrence and two sisters: Louise and Eva.

A private family service and burial will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Blood Services or a charity of your choice.
