Surrounded by close friends, Mary passed away peacefully at Oakville- Trafalgar Hospital on May 15, 2011 in her 81st year. Daughter of the late John and Winifred Noad of Oakville. Raised in Montreal and Toronto, educated at St. Clement's School and U. of T., she pursued a career in Occupational Therapy in Montreal and Toronto, retiring from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 1992. Mary was a keen birder and naturalist who had a love of travel, politics, and animals. Dear friend of Harriet Jamieson of Toronto, her Mahjong partners, OT colleagues and many friends at the Oakville Historical Society, St. Jude's Garden Guild and the Osteoporosis Society. Memorial service will be held at St. Jude's Anglican Church in Oakville on Thursday, May 19 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doctors Without Borders Canada, World Vision or Natures Conservancy.
