After a stroke, at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, on August 5, 2010, in her 91st year. Mary had just celebrated her 90th birthday (July 13) at her cottage on Lake of Bays in Muskoka with family and friends. Mary is survived by her four children, Bruce, Barbara, Doug and John with his wife Bryna, and by her brother, James Slater of Winnipeg. Mary will also be missed by her grandchildren, Meredith, Marshall, Megan, Alex, Duncan and Eden. A service of remembrance with reception to follow will be held Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. John's United Church, 131 Dunn Street, Oakville, (905) 845-0551. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's United Church, Memorial Trust Fund would be appreciated.
