Clegg, Mary Eleanor (nee Rosevear). Mary passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) on May 20, 2021. Daughter of the late Alfred Rosevear, QC and Dorothy (Mathias) Rosevear. Beloved mother of Andrea (Cheryl) and Deborah (Jeff). Predeceased by her son, Graham and her sister, Anne Shirley Lafond. Grandmother of Hanna and Aiden Crook of North Vancouver. Mary will be dearly missed by family and her many friends.

Mary was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. At age 7 her family moved to the Town of Mount Royal, Quebec. Enjoying an active lifestyle, Mary was an avid swimmer, tennis player and skier. Mary also held a deep love for animals and the natural world as well as a keen interest in world affairs. An avid gardener, Mary loved the outdoors. She was a graduate of McGill University, Arts '60, where she studied political science and sociology.

Mary travelled extensively throughout her life, to the USA, Europe, South America, and Northern Africa. Mary was also active in numerous charities, including over 25 years of service to the Canadian Cancer Society.

In 1979, Mary and her three children moved to Oakville, Ontario where she lived until the time of her death. Mary's family was very important to her and the death of her son, Graham, in 2019 was an enormous loss.

Deep appreciation is extended to the caring staff at OTMH and Credit Valley Hospital for providing exceptional care to Mary during her final months. The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to the many friends whom Mary held dear. There will be a private celebration of life and, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oakville Humane Society or the Conservation Halton Foundation.
