Christilaw: Mary Peters

Mary Peters Christilaw passed away peacefully on December 21, 2019 at her residence Billings Court Manor in Burlington. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick on January 27,1921, she lived a beautiful life well into her 99 ^th year. Dearly beloved wife for 56 years of the late Thomas Nathan (2000).Loving mother of David and his wife Gloria of Brantford and Susan Mary and her husband Frank Cooney of Burlington. Adored grandmother of Adrian and his wife Anna-Lisa of Banff, Adam and his wife Hayley of Brantford and Sarah Christilaw of Cambridge, Shane Cooney and his wife Morana of Mississauga and Todd Cooney and his wife Monika of Milton. Proud and devoted great grandmother to Carter, Griffen, Camdyn, Quinlyn, Hannah, Amelia, Finley, Kingsley and Golden. Predeceased by her parents John and Mary Evans, brother John, sister Elizabeth (Liza) and her husband Jack. Also predeceased by her sisters-in-law Jean and her husband Jack Lewis, Mary and her husband Basil Hall and brother-in-law Jack Christilaw and his wife Dawn. Family and friends will be received at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home at 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, Ontario on Friday December 27 ^th , 2019. Visitation and a celebration of her life will be from 9:00am to 10:00am, with a light breakfast. The service will be from 10:00am to 11:00 am with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Hamilton. The family would like to thank the staff of Palermo Retirement Home and Dr.  Robinson, the nursing, personal care and other staff of Billings Court Manor for their care given to Mary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or Oakville Memorial Hospital, which Mary held dear to her heart.
