Bastasich: Mary Jane
With painful and overwhelming sadness we announce the passing of mother, wife, teacher, grandma and a coal miner's daughter on Sunday, February 11, 2007. Mary Jane (Jina) was born in Princeton British Columbia in 1932. She was courageous in fighting sugar diabetes. Survived by her husband John, "I love you honey!" Three sons Paul, John and Richard and her soon to be daughter-in-law Shobie. Her special sister-in-law Ann Bastasich and brother-in-law Mike and family. Cousins Franja and Maria Vrban of Burlington, Mate and Micho Vrban of Zagreb, Croatia and numerous other relatives throughout Croatia. Nieces Belinda and Eleanor, the children Erin, Shawn and Jill and countless friends and relatives. Grandchildren Jennifer and Corey and their mother Suzanne along with great-grandchild Cassidy will miss Baba dearly. If desired, donations to Holy Trinity Croatian Catholic Church would be appreciated. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 7-9pm Wednesday February 14, 2007. Funeral Mass 10am on Thursday February 15, 2007 at Holy Trinity Croatian Church, 2110 Trafalgar Road, Oakville. Interment Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery.
