Marjorie Lorraine Bouchard (nee Cartwright) (1933 - 2026)Marjorie passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2026. She is predeceased by her dear husband, Rene. She was the loving mother of Dave (Diana), Paul and Mike Bouchard, fond grandmother of Aimee (Will) and Laura (Alex) and adoring great grandmother of Simone. Marj has lived in the same Oakville home for almost 70 years, where she and the family enjoyed a close friendship with their neighbours. She spent her career as a bookkeeper at several companies. After retirement she continued to work part time at Glen Abbey Golf Course for another 12 years, where she and Rene were valued employees. They enjoyed golf and at times played 36 holes a day. They were square dancers and bowlers They wintered near Clearwater, Florida for many years, where they enjoyed pot lucks and theme parties with their community. Marj still had a sharp mind and took bridge lessons in her 90’s to elevate her game. She was a keen contract bridge player at the Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre. She was a real sports fan, having followed Rene to baseball and hockey tournaments before having children. She spent many happy hours following the Jays, golf, curling and CNN, and liked to discuss the latest plays and political developments. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm. on Thursday, April 23 at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West., Oakville. Please join family and friends at the Celebration of Life that will follow at 6 pm.
