IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marjorie Ann
Batchelor
June 25, 1931 – June 10, 2023
In the wee hours of June 10, 2023, at home, with her daughter holding her hand, Marjorie Ann Batchelor slipped peacefully away from this world. She was just 15 days shy of her 92nd birthday.
Marjorie was the loving mother of Susan (Drew Tennant) of Toronto, and mother-in-law and friend of Corrine Batchelor of Burlington.
Marj's constant love and support will be missed by her grandchildren, Kate Batchelor (Chris Hyde) of Burlington and Alec Batchelor (Lara Yildrim) of Vancouver.
She will also be greatly missed by her youngest sister, Dianne Renaud (Clint) of Windsor and her many loving nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert (Bob)(2014), her adored son Paul (2014) and loving daughter Carol (2019). She was also predeceased by her sisters Gerry and Shirley.
Marjorie's life was her family, her pets, and her faith. She enjoyed reading, knitting and going to the movies. Family dinners, whether Friday nights at the El Spero restaurant or Sundays in the family dining room, were occasions filled with laughter and great joy.
Marj, along with her husband Bob, were active members of St Paul's United Church in Oakville, she as treasurer of the UCW for many years and both helping out with the Church Bazaars and Rummage sales.
Marjorie watched over and guided her family with a gentle and quiet strength. She led by example, living a life of faith, compassion, caring and laughter.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd W, Oakville.
