In loving memory of Marion Turecek (born Mary Cicholski), mother to Jan, Diana, and Nadine, grandmother to Jillian, Dennis, Eric, Joel, Lucas, Jesse, and Nathan. Marion passed away suddenly at home on October 12, 2014, aged 87. Raised as an orphan and knowing nothing about her past until very late in life, family was always the most important thing to Marion, and she cherished all of us with all her heart. Fiercely resourceful and independent her entire life, she guided the family through some hard times after the 1977 death of her husband, Kvetoslav, all the while maintaining her sense of humor and fun. Her example inspires us all to do our best for our families, just as she did. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) Thursday October 16th between 2 and 4pm, with funeral service also at Kopriva Taylor Friday October 17th at 11:00am. Marion will be interred at Brampton Cemetery, 10 Wilson Avenue, Brampton.
