Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Marilyn Pidgeon on Friday April 9, 2010 with her family by her side, in her 69th year. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. Loving, devoted and cherished wife of the late John (Bill) Pidgeon. Loving mother to Debra (Kevin) Landry, Darlene (Tony) Davis, William (Bill) Pidgeon (predeceased), Cathi (Marianne) Peters and Victoria (David) Lawrence. Loving, devoted and cherished Grandma and Nana to Shawn (Nikki), Heather (Andrew), Samantha and Emily. Great-grandma to Jennah and Lilli. Loving sister to Rose Marie (Eric), Pauline, Bob (Elise), Frances and predeceased by brothers Joe, Allie and sisters Gennie, Peggy and Betty. Loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Cherished friend to many. Mom you were our strength and hero. You taught us to be strong and to love unconditionally. You were the strength and glue that kept our family strong. You lit up every room when you entered with your smile. Everyone that met you fell in love with you. You will always be in our hearts and with us always. We will forever love and miss you. You were our "Rock". A special thank you to the staff at Credit Valley Hospital and the CCAC for easing our burden during this most difficult time. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Thursday. A service to celebrate Marilyn's life will be held at 10:00 am Friday April 16, 2010 in the Kopriva Taylor Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Society or the Schizophrenia Society would be appreciated.
