Marian died peacefully at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Beloved wife of 56 years of F. Grant Moffat. Loving mother of Frank (Helen) of Kitchener, the late Bob (1985) and Donald of Burlington. Dear grandmother of Timothy and Peter. Loving sister of Frances Sutherland (Toronto), Margaret Piper (Mississauga) and Jean Duncan (Ceylon). Special thanks to Bonnie Fischer and Stephanie Scrivo for making Marian's long term care stay more enjoyable; to the Waterford's Palermo Staff for their ongoing care, and to the Palliative Care Unit at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for making Marian's final stay comfortable. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010. Funeral Service will be held in the Kopriva Chapel on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 1 p.m. Interment will take place in the spring in Orono Cemetery, Orono, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
