It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Maria Orlandi on Thursday February 18, 2021 in her 87th year. Predeceased by her loving and devoted husband  Nicola of 55 years. Maria is survived by her loving daughters Florence (Gino) DiFilippo and Rita (Antonio) Cossu. Treasured Nonna of Marisa, Gianni and Shawna, Nicole and Argel. Will be greatly missed by her precious great grandchildren Stella and Nathaniel,  Mia and Ava. Maria and Nicola immigrated to Canada in 1954 to start a better life in which to raise a family. Her kindness,  generosity, sweet smile never ceased to charm everyone she met. She loved to bake and cook her delicious homemade pasta prepared with love for her family and friends.  Maria was an avid gardener who took great pride in her vegetable garden and flowers. Her daily devotion to God and la Madonna dei Miracoli  gave her great comfort and strength in her final weeks. Florence and Rita wish to give their sincere thanks to Dr. Milton Banhara for his TLC and compassion and to all the kind attentive nurses on 3 North at the Oakville hospital."
