COLAROSSI, Maria Passed away peacefully, at the age of 94, on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Maria is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Orlando Edgidio, and will be missed greatly by her daughters Joanne (Harold Vogt) and Matilda (Claudio Giovacchini), and her son Dino (Deborah Colarossi). She was an adoring Nonna and was beloved by her grandchildren Mark, Paul, Daniel, Simone, Leslie, Pier Paolo, Corey, Deanna, Selena, Rachel, and Natalie. She was also a loving Bisnonna (great-grandmother) to Mats and Valerie.

Born in Carpineto Della Nora, Italy, into a large family, Maria arrived in Canada in 1963. She and Orlando settled and raised their family in Wi ndsor, Ontario, and later moved to Oakville, Ontario to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Maria was a talented seamstress who enjoyed cooking, pasta-making, and sharing her incredible childhood stories. With patience, creativity, and a big smile, she provided the family and all who entered her home the fruits of her well-worn recipes, hand-sewn clothing, and life lessons about love, independence, and loyalty.

A private funeral service will be held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, April 18, 2022, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oakville Hospital Foundation oakvillehospitalfoundation.com .
