With heavy hearts, but gratitude for a life well-lived, the family of Marguerite Louise McLeod (nee Stringer) announce her passing on July 17, 2015. Marguerite was born September 1, 1932, in Milton, Ontario, the daughter of Esther and Frederick Stringer. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Donald and David, and her beloved husband Joseph. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons David (Ellen), Joseph (Cecilia), Anthony (Sandra), and John (Melanie), her grandchildren Andrea (Darren), Sherry (Kevin), Jade, Matthew, Trent and Michael, and her great-grandchildren Lauren, Luke and Abigail. A long-time resident of Oakville, Marguerite enjoyed reading, walking, painting, and especially spending time with her family. We will sorely miss her fabulous pies. Marguerite's best friend and soul-mate was Joe, her husband for more than 55 years, and we are happy that she is with him again. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home in Oakville on Friday, July 24 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
