It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Levko-Jarovi, age 81, on May 15, 2026, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Margaret passed peacefully after a lengthy illness, surrounded by family and friends.
Margaret was the beloved wife of Stan Jarovi. She warmly embraced Stan’s two sons and their spouses and took great joy in being “Gramma” to five grandchildren. She was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Born in Windsor, Ontario, Margaret was a trailblazer in the banking industry, becoming the first female Branch Manager of the National Bank of Canada in Windsor. Throughout her distinguished career, she managed several National Bank branches in Windsor, Toronto, and Oakville, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
As a passionate advocate for her community, Margaret dedicated countless hours to volunteer service. She served as President of Credit Counselling of Windsor, sat on the boards of the United Way in Windsor and Mississauga, and volunteered with Cancer Care Ontario, Relay for Life, and many other charitable organizations.
Retirement only deepened her commitment to helping others. Margaret learned to knit hats and scarves for cancer patients, organized donation drives, and always offered her time wherever it was needed. She also embraced new passions, including lawn bowling, golf, and hiking.
Margaret's greatest gift was her generosity. Giving was her secret weapon. Whether supporting a cause she believed in or creating special memories with her grandchildren through day trips, shopping excursions, movies, and adventures big and small, she always enriched the lives of everyone around her.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all those who were part of Margaret’s care during her illness. We appreciated the compassion, support and kindness shown to her.
Margaret will be deeply missed and will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
