Passed away peacefully at St. Peters Hospital, Hamilton on April 23, 2012 in her 95th year. Margaret was born in Port Arthur, ON. She was very active in the Ukrainian Community in Port Arthur and Toronto, dancing, playing the Mandolin and singing in various choirs. Margaret met her husband Alexander Hunchik while touring with a Ukrainian Ensemble in Northern Ontario. Margaret is predeceased by her two sisters Elise Timophy and Frances Arnone both from Port Arthur. Margaret had two children Loretta (son-in-law Donald Meaker), and Jack (daughter in-law Helen Hunchik.) She loved both Jack and Loretta very much as well as her grand children; Katherine Lennie and spouse Randy Lennie from Alberta, Christopher Meaker and spouse Laurel Meaker from Texas, David Hunchik and spouse Mary Hunchik from Texas, Gregory Meaker and partner Gerry Landreville from Alberta, Karen Saenger and spouse Max Saenger from British Columbia. Margaret also had four great grand children; Jordan Meaker, Alexandra Meaker, Eric Hunchik and Carter Hunchik, all of Texas. Her grand children and great grand children will forever remember their wonderful family times singing while their Baba played the Mandolin.
