Margaret Rose Chapman, born on December 24, 1939, in Uxbridge, Ontario, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, in Oakville, surrounded by the love of her life, her beloved husband Bruce Chapman, whom she was married to for an impressive 63 years. Their wedding on March 2, 1963, marked the beginning of a remarkable love story that lasted until the very day of her passing, a testament to their enduring bond and commitment to one another.
Margaret had an extensive and fulfilling career as an executive secretary, retiring in 2005. Known for her intelligence, organization, and always cheerful demeanor, she made a lasting impression on those she worked with. Friends and colleagues would remember her as someone who was not only smart but also genuinely kind, making her workplace a better environment for all.
Her personality shone brightly through her generous spirit and positive outlook on life. Margaret was tenacious, loyal, and always interested in the lives of those around her. A natural at entertaining, she hosted many gatherings with elegance and grace, making her guests feel welcomed, important, and loved. Her passions for travel and spending time with amazing friends enriched her life immensely, allowing her to create unforgettable memories that she cherished deeply.
She is remembered fondly by her surviving family members: her sisters, Mabel Oldham and Helen Watson. Margaret is predeceased by her her loving parents, Florence and Burton Tindall and sister, Alice Kennedy.
In recognition of a life wonderfully lived, visitation will take place at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home in Oakville on March 11, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again later that evening from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A memorial service will follow on March 12, 2026, commencing at 3:00 PM, with an additional gathering from 4:00 PM until 5:30 PM.
Margaret Rose Chapman leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
