Obituary

With both sadness and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret Ira Austin, who peacefully departed this life on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the age of 89.

Margaret was born on January 31, 1937, the cherished daughter of Edward and Elene Cazabon (both predeceased). She shared a lifelong and extraordinary bond with her twin sister, Umilta Enid Ann King. From the moment they entered the world together, their lives were closely intertwined — sharing childhood, family, laughter, and the many milestones of life side by side. Their connection as twins was a special blessing to all who witnessed the love they shared.

Margaret was the last surviving member of her siblings and lived the longest among them — a testament to her strength and enduring spirit.

Margaret was deeply loved by her extended family and held a special place in the lives of her nieces, nephews, and the many relatives and friends who affectionately knew her as “Auntie.”

She was predeceased by her beloved twin sister Umilta Enid Ann King, her brothers Dr. Edward P. I. Cazabon and Stanley Cazabon, and her younger brother Melvin Cazabon, who passed away as an infant many years ago. She was also predeceased by her niece Cheryl Burke (née Cazabon) and her nephew Marvin’s late wife Florence King (née Sadita).

Margaret shared a special and loving bond with her nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered by Sharon Cazabon and Sean Cazabon, children of her brother Edward; Alpha King (and his wife Désirée) and Marvin King, children of her twin sister Umilta; and Michael Cazabon, Maria Cazabon, Oriette Previl, and Oneray Cazabon, children of her brother Stanley. Each held a special place in her heart, and she in theirs.

She was also a cherished cousin to the Corbie and Devenish families.

Margaret will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her warm smile, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. Her love of family and her enduring faith were guiding lights throughout her journey.

As the last of her siblings, her passing marks the closing of a remarkable chapter in our family’s history. Yet her legacy lives on in the memories, stories, and love she leaves behind.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and give thanks for the many years we were blessed to have her with us.

Now, after a lifetime that began together, the twin sisters are reunited once more — walking side by side again in eternal peace.
