With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Manuel S. Costa of Oakville, Ontario, on June 7, 2025, at the age of 83.

Manuel was the beloved husband of Manuela Costa, with whom he shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. A devoted family man, he is reunited in heaven with his cherished daughter Humberta, whom he missed dearly.

He leaves behind his loving wife Manuela, his son-in-law Fernando, his grandchildren Jaclyn, Dave, Taylor, and Olivia, and his precious great-grandson Matthew, all of whom will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Manuel was a man of quiet strength, known for his simple and hardworking nature. He loved caring for his home, being outdoors, and riding his bicycle through the neighbourhood. Above all, he loved his family deeply and lived his life with humility, kindness, and a willingness to help anyone in need.

He was a peaceful soul, a gentle presence, and a steady guide—always putting others before himself. His legacy of love, resilience, and compassion will live on through the lives he touched.

He will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 10, 2025 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, ON from 4 pm - 8 pm.  Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday June 11, 2025 at St. Joseph's Portuguese Parish, 2451 Old Bronte Road, Oakville at 9:30 am.  Interment to follow at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens.
