Peacefully in the late evening of Tuesday May 29th, 2012 Maida passed away at the age of 83. Loving wife of the late John (Jack) Pugh. Sister to the late Robert (Sally) Sherwood. Loved by her son the late John (Jane) Pugh, daughter Kate (Bill) Greenfield and Nan to Jessica (Brandon) Hune, Michael (Allison) Greenfield, Meaghan (Brennan) Taylor and Jay Pugh as well as "Big Gigi" to Danny, Luke and Chloe.
Maida will be sadly missed by her extended family, all her friends and her close associates and colleagues of the Junior League of Toronto where she was a member and employee for over 50 years. The family would like to thank the CCAC and Acclaim Health especially Linda Crone for their dedicated support and care for the past 6 months as well as Ian Anderson House for the loving and compassionate palliative care over the last week of Maida's life. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home , 64 Lakeshore Rd. W, Oakville, (905 844-2600) on Thursday June 7th from 2 – 6 p.m. A private family service will be held at St Jude's Anglican Church on Saturday June 9th.
