Magdalene Anna Gruber (Haug) 1939 – 2021

Passed away peacefully with her loving family close to her heart at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 28, 2021.  Lene was born on June 28, 1939 in Bochum, Germany.

Lene will be sadly missed by daughter Karen (Stephen Turner) and grandchildren Michael and Lauren, daughter Kim (Gary Reed).

She is survived by her sister Christel, nice Monica ( son's Brendon & Grant)  and predeceased by sister Annie and brother Willie & Heini and husband Helmut.

Lene moved to Ontario and settled in Oakville in 1965 where she resided until her passing.  Affectionately know as Nanny G to the grandchildren and their friends and was always there to lend a hand.

The family would like to thank the caring nurses and doctors at OTMH who were there for her.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Oakville Hospital Foundation in memory of Magdalene  Gruber.  Cremation has taken place, a private family interment will take place at St Jude's cemetery at a later date.
