With profound sadness, we, Susan Gates (Doug) and Cathy Pawson (David) sadly announce the passing of our dearly loved mother, on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, with both of us by her side, at her residence in Oakville. Predeceased in 1982 by her beloved and cherished "one and only" husband, Richard L. (Dick) Brown, and by her dear sister, Marguerite Allan (Sandy). Loving and dearly loved Gran of Rob (Janet), Laura (Aaron), Lindsay (Cory), Kate and Marielle. Proud and doting Great-Gran of Charlotte Rose. Undeterred by her long term blood lymphoma or her heart failure, Beryl lived life to the fullest degree, until last summer. She never complained, although she bore great tribulation over the past six months. Always outgoing and fun, she had a wonderful love of life and a feisty, adventurous spirit, which never deserted her. She particularly enjoyed spending time at her summer residence, Lakecroft. We'll all sorely miss her enthusiasm, her moral support, her loving care and kind heart. Our heartfelt gratitude to the many wonderful people who cared for our mom in her final illness, in particular, Adriana Clavell. A private family funeral was held at St. Jude's Anglican Church, Oakville, on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto.
