It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our father, Luigi Fabiano, loving husband, father and grandfather on April 20, 2011 at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in his 75th year. Surrounded by his wife, Rose (nee Rizzuti), his daughter Maria (Di Domenico) and her husband Ugo, and his son, Mike Fabiano and his wife Kim (McGregor), and his beloved grandchildren, Dominic, Talia, Tanner, Kayla and Michael. At the time of passing his family was by his side and holding his hand as he smiled and said his last goodbye. Son of the late Michele and Maria Fabiano (Guarnieri) of Motta, Cosenza Italy, and his sister, the late Antonietta Aquino. Luigi adored his wife, Rose, his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who ever knew him. Known for his charm, smile, humour and big heart, he has left a place in everyone's heart. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren. Nonno was their greatest fan attending hockey, soccer and lacrosse games, skating galas, graduations, recitals and always ready and willing to get in his car to chauffeur his grandchildren and always at their beck and call, rewarding them for goals they scored and good marks they brought home from school. He will be greatly missed by his cousin, Tony Picarelli and his wife, Maria (Rizzuti), and his brother-in-law Tony Rizzuti and his wife Marie, brother-in-law Angelo Rizzuti and his wife, Jean, and sister-in-law, Adriana Crocitto and her husband, Vito and all his nieces and nephews. Known for his kisses, his hugs, his sweetness and his genuine emotion for all of his family, he will leave a huge space in our hearts. We were so lucky to have been a part of his life. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville on Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm and Tuesday 6-9pm with a funeral mass at 10am on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 231 Morden Road, Oakville. Entombment at Glen Oaks mausoleum.
