In the arms of his parents and surrounded by his uncles, Luca passed away peacefully on September 29. Luca will be forever loved and cherished by his father Nicholas and mother Gabrielle, proud big-brother Anthony, and as his nonno and nonna (Bruno and Maria Francescutti) and his jaja and nana (Michael and Tonett Wojtasik). Luca will be missed and held in the hearts of his uncles and aunt, Joshua Wojtasik and Thomas (Julia) Francescutti.

In his short life, Luca left a lasting impact on those around him and brought immense joy to those that loved him. He fought so hard to ensure that he met his parents and that they were able to make a lifetime of special memories with him.  Luca had the kindest eyes, a full head of dark hair and was so very beautiful. He loved hand hugs, getting his hair brushed and holding on to his parents fingers.  Luca's legacy will live on through his parents and brother, whom strive to honour him going forward.

His family would like to extend their warmest thanks to the doctors and nurses at both trafalgar memorial hospital as well as McMaster Children's Hospital, particularly those within the NICU whom kept Luca comfortable and gave him the best quality of life.

A funeral mass honouring Luca will be held at Saint Matthew Roman Catholic Parish located in Oakville on Tuesday October 3rd at 11:00am. A private burial will follow. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Luca's name to the McMaster Children's Hospital Foundation . A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
