It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the age of 84. Predeceased by her husband, Frank Vathy, parents, two brothers and a sister. Survived by sisters Rita and Angelika, Germany, and her loving family, Frank (Vanessa) Christine (Tim Heaney), Victor (Sharon). Grandchildren Vanessa, Kevin and Michael Heaney, Alexander and Evan Vathy. Long-time resident of Oakville and employee of 40 years with General Electric (East Plant). She was a selfless, caring, loving mother and a sweet and devoted grandmother (Oma). Our thanks to all the nurses, PSW workers and staff at Wyndham Manor. Funeral service will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 with visitation taking place one hour prior at 10:30 a.m. Refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
