Obituary

R.N. retired (nee Martin)
Dec 1st, 1929 – March 15th, 2011
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois MacLennan. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and children as a result of complications following surgery. Beloved wife of Frederick F. MacLennan, dear mother of David (Ruth) MacLennan, Stratford, Ontario & Heather (Laurence) Whittaker Milton, Ontario and loving Grandmother of Ryan, Carolyn, Amanda, John & Krista. Dear sister of Barry (Joan) Martin Stoney Creek. Lois graduated as a Registered Nurse from St. Josephs Hospital, Hamilton in 1954. She worked in various hospitals from Hamilton to Sudbury and Timmins. Her fondest nursing memories were working on the children's Polio ward in Sudbury, during the late 1950's. Lois valued time with her family most but also enjoyed travelling and golf with her friends. In keeping with Lois' wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life on Saturday, March 26th, 2011 at the Oakville Golf Club, 1154 Sixth Line, Oakville, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Osteoporosis Society of Canada or the charity of your choice.
