Obituary

On Monday, the 27th day of September, 2010, a special lady, who was very independent and had a wonderful sense of humour left us to go and be with dad. Lillian Isabell Lindsay, in her 97th year, loving wife of the late William (Bill) Leslie Lindsay (1997). A wonderful mum to Margo and her husband Douglas (Doug) Duncan and Beverley (Bev) and her husband Karl Andersen. Cherished Gla/Grandma to her six grandchildren and their spouses: Andrew and Adrienne Duncan, Matthew Duncan and his fiancée Ruth Pitts, Timothy and Adelia Duncan, Benjamin and Helen Duncan, Peter and Heather Andersen and Kristina and Paul Jay. Loved always by Sandy. Beloved great grandmother of Trevor and his wife Cathy, Olivia, Philip, Madyson, Hannah, Emma and Maëlle Duncan; Brandon and Kyle Andersen; Cody, Taylor and Morgan Jay, Jake and Jed Patterson. Great great grandma of Lillian (Lilly) and William Duncan. Mum was a very proud Canadian of Scottish decent. She was the loving sister of Jean Shipway of Milton. Predeceased by five sisters and two brothers. Beloved aunt to many nieces, nephews and their families. Many, many thanks to Dr. Mary Frances Bolland and everyone in the office for the wonderful care they gave to Mum. Thank you also to Dr. J. Kovacs, Sarah, Irene, Shirin, Donna, Chris and all the staff on 4 Centre at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. We really appreciate all you did for Mum. To Cathy and Steve Ilines ~ thank you for always keeping an eye out for Mum.
Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A celebration of Mum's life will be held on Friday, 1 October, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Anglican Church, 1745 Dundas Street West, Mississauga, Ontario. L6K 2E1 (corner of Dundas Street and Mississauga Road ~ entrance off Mississauga Road) The Rev. Canon Jennifer Reid officiating. Interment Springcreek Cemetery, Mississauga.
