Leopoldina Martins

March 13, 1922 – August 28, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leopoldina Martins, on August 28, 2022 at 100 years of age.

Devoted wife to the late Miguel Martins, caring mother, loving grandmother, and cherished great-grandmother. Her grandchildren will always remember playing card games with their grandmother, and creating many treasured memories while in her care.

Leopoldina's heart was in Portugal, where she lived with her husband her whole life, until moving to Canada to be with her children after his passing. Working on the farm in Portugal was her greatest accomplishment and her passion.

Her family will remember her as a hard working woman, who dedicated her life to her children and always put their needs first.

A visitation will be held at Kopriva-Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville ON, on Thursday September 08, 2022 from 6:00-9:00pm.

A funeral service to celebrate Leopoldina's life will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 2451 Old Bronte Road, Oakville ON, Friday September 09, 2022 at 10:00am. Leopoldina will be laid to final rest at home in Portugal in the following weeks.
